NOtown Roller Derby consists of a "Fresh Meat" team, Recreational team, and three travel teams (Raisin Hell, Gang Stars, and NOtown All Stars).
NOtown's "Fresh Meat" team consists of new skaters that are learning basic skating and derby skills and are preparing for their minimum skill assessments. Once skaters have passed all assessments they are eligible to compete for a position on a travel team.
Skaters who show the dedication and talent to compete at a higher level may be drafted onto one of the travel team rosters for interleague competition. The NOtown All Stars is our A level, All Star travel team that bouts leagues from all over the Western region. At the beginning of 2010, a new travel team was introduced, the Gang Stars, to give more skaters the opportunity to gain interleague bouting experience. In 2011 a third travel team, Raisin Hell, was added to provide even more opportunities to play roller derby at a competitive level.
